Housing Quality Standards (HQS) Inspector Certification

Get certified to ensure that rental housing is decent, safe, and sanitary. Programs such as HOPWA, Permanent Supportive Housing, Rapid Rehousing, and others bound by Housing Quality Standards (HQS) will find this training particularly useful. HQS spell out the minimum health and safety requirement units must meet before HUD assistance can be paid on behalf of program participants.

 

The workshop includes a review of:

  • HUD's expectations regarding HQS,

  • the thirteen key aspects of housing quality and criteria to meet each requirement,

  • responsibilities of the inspector,

  • general health and safety and

  • lead-based paint requirements.

 

THE TRAINING IS 2 DAYS....you only have to register for the 1st day & you'll receive instructions for day 2 on day 1 (11:30am - 5pm EST both days). The cost is $599 per person.
